FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything about how Beau turns spoken and typed workouts into structured, trackable training data on iPhone.

What is Beau?

Beau is a workout tracker that lets you log training by voice or plain text. It converts natural-language entries into structured sets, reps, weight, distance and duration, and organizes every session into Strength, Cardio, Mobility and Recreation folders.

How do I log a workout in Beau?

You describe your workout in everyday language — for example, “squats 5 by 5 at 80 kilos and a 20 minute row” — either by speaking or typing. Beau automatically extracts the sets, reps, weight and duration, so there are no forms to fill in.

Which platforms does Beau support?

Beau is an iPhone app built for iOS. Android version is coming later.

Is Beau free?

Beau is NOT free because it uses LLMs to understand natural language. I would love to make it single-purchase, but unfortunately it's not possible in this case.

Does Beau track strength training and cardio?

Yes. Beau sorts each session into Strength, Cardio, Mobility or Recreation and shows metrics suited to each — training volume and personal records for strength, and time and distance for cardio.

Do I need to pick exercises from a list?

No. Unlike template-based trackers, Beau reads your free-form description, so you never scroll through exercise menus or build routines in advance — you just say what you did.

Is my workout data private and backed up?

Your logs are tied to your personal account and sync so they are backed up across reinstalls and new devices. Read our full privacy policy to learn how your data is protected.

Can Beau remind me to log my workouts?

Yes. You can set your training days and a preferred time of day — morning, lunchtime or evening — and Beau sends reminders aligned to that schedule.

Does Beau work offline?

Beau is built with offline mode in mind, nothing you log will ever be lost.
