The Science of Recovery

Muscle Protein Synthesis (MPS) generally stays elevated for 24 to 48 hours following a resistance training session.

However, systemic fatigue (Central Nervous System fatigue) can last much longer, especially after heavy compound lifts like deadlifts (which have a high neurological demand).
